The consumption of plastic strapping has grown with an annual rate of 7-25%; polyester is the product with the highest growth along with plastic strap. As far as the demand for steel strapping is concerned, it remains stable with possible shrinkage only in developed industrial markets. The consumption of pallet wrap is growing upwards with an annual rate of 8-10%. 

In todays market, the emphasis is on increased value for money for packaging materials, but also maintaining a strong view to improving our environment by using more eco friendly packaging materials and promoting additional recycling.

To conclude, Steel Packaging Limited are actively working with our customers to implement the regular Irish government bills  regarding the need to recycle more effectively and as a result reduce the waste disposal costs.
